Google this week announced merchant support for developers in
China, meaning app makers in the region can now sell their creations via
Google Play.
Developers can add free and paid content to the Google Play store via
various monetization models, including in-app purchases or
subscriptions.
"Google Play is the largest digital store for Android users to
discover and purchase their favorite mobile app and games, and the
ecosystem is continuing to grow globally," product manager Ellie Powers
wrote in a blog post.
Developers can now sign up to be Google Play merchants in 60
countries, including Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Pakistan, Puerto Rico,
Qatar, Venezuela, and now China.
Those interested in joining the Android fray can visit play.google.com/apps/publish for more information, and to register as a developer.
